Turning off the RAM check is a nice feature. I also like having an OS so I can boot up in case something happens with a disk image or I need to switch from a patched OS to an unpatched one while testing hardware. I can see why you'd want to stick with the regular logos. I have one that has a pirate computer logo and it is somewhat annoying.

Yea, that seems to be common with a lot of the modified ROMs.
