Posted by: onlyonemac on 2013-11-02 13:34:10 I wouldn't delete the preferances; it might be either impossible to reconstruct them if the System software is "incomplete" in some way or another, and on the other hand they might give a clue to the machine's history.
Even the personal files might be worth taking a look at. They might tell us something we didn't know...
Take a look. This is an exception. If there's nothing interesting, then we can delete them afterwards.

Most settings like patterns were molded into the System file. Yup. Accessible only with ResEdit, prior to System 7.5.
