| Radius Rocket Experts - is this possible? |
Posted by: CC_333 on 2012-12-17 10:56:05 Hi,
I wonder if it would work under Mac OS 9?

Posted by: Brooklyn on 2012-12-17 10:59:28 Mac OS 9 doesn't run on a IIci as far as I know or else I'd give it a shot.

Posted by: Bunsen on 2012-12-18 06:12:22 MacOS 9 will, however, run on a Nubus PPC.

Posted by: Trash80toHP_Mini on 2012-12-18 06:21:04 I was thinking it might be fun to Install the Rocket in my Radius 81/110 to test that very thing, It's too bad the G3 doesn't work. I may have killed it and the HPV adapter by trying them out backwards . . . 7.5/RocketShare test of the IIsi coming up! [}🙂] ]'>

Posted by: olePigeon on 2012-12-18 08:47:38 Hmm. Could someone use their dougg3 ROM to change the machine identifier on the IIci into something that OS 9 supports?

Posted by: Brooklyn on 2012-12-18 13:49:52 I have a dougg3 rom and programmer. If someone could help out on the details ill definitely try it.

|
Posted by: TylerEss on 2013-03-29 15:52:41 I assume you get no networking on the Rocket with this setup (i.e. the AppleTalk-over-NuBus hack stops working in post-7.1). So, how do you load software into the Rocket? How do you get data back out of the Rocket?

Posted by: Trash80toHP_Mini on 2013-03-29 16:37:11 On the previous page, Booklyn got RocketShare to run under 7.6.1 (I ost my CD) and 8.1 (I haven't gotten a Duo to work with that as yet) in his IIci, so I'm trying 7.5.5 on the Duos for now.
|
Posted by: TylerEss on 2013-03-29 16:54:21 That's awesome that it runs, but I'm still unsure how you exchange data with the rest of the world.
Does the floppy-sharing still work? Do you need the Rocket SCSI-II card and a SyQuest drive?

Posted by: IIfx on 2013-04-28 10:02:02 When I tried Rocketshare on 7.6.1 on my Quadra 800 it did not work at all, taking it to 7.1 made it work.
Perhaps I have an earlier version of the software? I will look into it later.
