Anyways, my Vx lost it's battery capacity after a few years. Turns out the case is glued together, a real PITA, but with a heatgun i managed.
If someday a Vx with a worn out case comes along my way, i'll transplant it, together with a proper battery and a keyboard, into a real book. I have a copy of "Running SystemV Unix" by Microsoft Press which asks for a mod like that 🙂 .

If someday a Vx with a worn out case comes along my way, So far i have collected 3 Vx and 2 V's (excluding my wife's one)...total cost should be around 5 € (the first one was collected just to be sure to have a spare, but worked after a quick charge) all of them are working fine, but not holding the charge for long.
Big troubles are batteries and digitizers, so you will probably end with a bad battery and nice case.

Hi Palm people! I have a TX... I did pass up a Vx and a Zire 71. I'm waiting for a Tungsten C/W or a Treo. (no wifi though, why palm?) The C to me has enough overlap with the the NITs, another device category I am trying to collect.

I just have a IIIx and an m505. Somehow, though, I ended up with a V/Vx dock which leaves me with the question of whether to find a new home for the dock or just grab a cheap V off of ebay.
