Pay closer attention to those units with that amount of bidding. Primarily it was done by maybe two, or 3 people. One of them has 0 feedback.

Looking at the bidders you can even see that somebody sniped it at the last second... I can't believe a non working portable could be bid up to that much... CRAZY!

And I witnessed the real thing for the first time the other day. Quite terrible.
