Two-day conquest

The ImageWriter II had been opened unfortunately and the software instal discs are missing. Otherwise it's complete and unopened. The manuals are there with the packing list, the cables are shrink wrapped and the ImageWriter itself is still wrapped in plastic. 8-o

The HyperCard retail box is indeed still shrink-wrapped/unopened though - weird huh.

Amongst the box-of-bits which I'm still looking through were two Apple internal SCSI CD-ROM drives. Both in plastic, marked as "new $399" !!!

I left behind so much software, there was literally boxes and boxes of CD's and boxed software. I saw three or four various retail boxes still shrink-wrapped that I had to leave behind as I limited myself to Apple branded stuff otherwise I wouldn't have had room for everything.

Managed to find a nice box of brand new PowerBook service parts. So much new stuff hidden about the place there and lots I didn't get to look through properly.

I can't say the prices of the CD-ROM drives surprise me - when we got our LCIII back in the day I remember the AppleCD 300 we got cost somewhere around $700 - $800. CD-ROM was the new, new, new thing, and the prices didn't start to come down for a good couple of years.

Got a chance to take a few pictures of the various brochures/pamphlets I picked up.

Ah, AppleNews! 😀 I used to always look forward to getting them back in the day. I used to have quite a good collection of them as a kid, until my parents made me throw them out. I remember being rather disappointed back in 2000 when Apple announced that they were no longer going to do AppleNews since you could get the latest news off the Apple website. The Sales and Marketing stuff looks rather interesting, as does the Service Training stuff. And you have a real copy of the MacAdvocate CD, awesome.

You didn't happen to find any G4 Cube related stuff at all did you? I am looking for some brochures or product specs to put with my boxed machine - only if you have a big pile of them, of course!

I'd absolutely love some type of G4 Cube brochure/poster to go with my cube too. Unfortunately nothing of the type in this stash. Although, some of the "solutions/product guide" posters have them included but not as a main feature.

Cool, thanks anyway! I have no idea where any of this stuff came from, I never saw any of it! Again, great work.

Last two pics... I promise...

Basically, I've just been through the last box of stuff (software).
