Box full of ZIF processors

There's only a few G4 450 MHz processors. Tons of G3 450 MHz though. I'm going to hold on to them for now. If you're interested I'll send two G4 400s for $35.

i even tried a G4 zif from a Yikes G4, it works but gets detected as a 604 CPU and shows half of the L1 cache and no L2 cache. i tried most of the CPU/cache enablers and all would cause the system to crash on bootup. with the CPU running like that everything ran uber slow. i did wish i could have gotten this to work out.

but my AIO is in my sig, parted out and in storage :'(
You needed to do the B&W Firmware update from a 3rd-party CPU upgrade maker. It was essentially a modded Yikes! Firmware.
i was talking about my Beige G3 not a B&W, i dont think you could use the firmware update like that on a Beige G3.

A G3/450 would be nice for my pimpin' beige desktop... Have any tested, and would they work in a desktop beigey? 83mhz bus means it would run at a cool 500mhz at least (technically an underclocking - the proc speed setting is the same for 500mhz at 83mhz as 400mhz at 66.)

Will test in a beige today.
