Don't know why So I can't boot from anything else than 7.5.3 on this machine. Until I backup the hard drive, that is. I read that the extension I was talking about was 32 bit clean. Mode 32 is installed on this machine but not activated. Will give that a go today. The more I think of it I'm sure this "adapter" screws things up a bit. It's trying to convert something that is already VGA compatible. Maybe it's the problem. I don't know if this adapter http://www.amazon.com/C2G-Cables-02902-Female-Adapter/dp/B0002J1JAE is different to mine http://www.amazon.com/Adapter-DB15-Male-HD15-Female/dp/B0016OC1J2 I didn't find a DA-15 to VGA cable but only adapters. Mine is supposed to have better settings and that's why I went for this one a year ago. | |

Here is what I found on Applefritter http://www.applefritter.com/node/6061 The driver works in SSW 7.0. May work in 7.1 does not work in 7.5.x. Driver could be hackable or later drivers may work with 7.5.x.So.... beachycove was right. Apparently first versions of the driver did not work with 7.5.x What I need folks is a newer version of the control panel. Apparently version 3.0 existed in January 1992. Unfortunately 7.5 was introduced in '94... OR I need something to hack it. } 🙂 Do you know what happened to Lapis ? I know they got acquired by FOCUS Enhancements some time before 1994 but that's it. If only I could track back somebody who worked there! | |

I was kinda expecting that, we're talking about 25 year old stuff here as I'm sure you know, reading this topic on 68kmla 🙂 Sooo, I have two options now. I want to stay with 7.5 for now. I can either sell the card back or hack the control panel to work with 7.5. I will create a new topic about hacking a CP in the Hacks&Development section. See ya there | |
