68kMLA Classic Interface
This is a version of the 68kMLA forums for viewing on your favorite old mac. Visitors on modern platforms may prefer the main site.
| Click here to select a new forum. | | What Apple laptops are covered in the PowerBook section? | Posted by: Lateralus on 2008-11-02 09:40:10 I've only been here for a week or so, but I already think there's too much Intel conversation going on. Given the subject of the forum, even PowerPC discussion should be pushing it.
If this forum is going to be about all Macs, it has might as well be merged with the PPC MLA forum and given a name change to 'Mac Owners Society'
At which point, it would be like every other Mac forum on the net. But we're already so close anyways...

I have an account on PPCMLA, but hardly ever use it. I come here for all my vintage computing needs. Ditto. I think you've made the right move with the PPC 'book forum, Tom. I mean, they're vintage now, and in need of liberation from the crusher.

Are all Apple laptops covered in this section now? Macintosh Portable, PowerBook 100, 145, 160, 180, 180c, 190, Duo, etc.
PPC PowerBooks/iBooks/MacBooks are NOT covered in that forum.
| Posted by: Cory5412 on 2009-03-18 17:19:22 The 68k PowerBooks section only covers 68k PowerBooks, 3-digit models plus the Portable, basically.
Other PowerBooks can be put into their appropriate subforum in the PowerPC area. 1400 and 5300 in the NuBus area, 2400 and 2300 in the PCI area, and iBooks/G3/G4 in the G3&Beyond section.
MacBook/Pro/Air aren't necessarily "covered" here, but they can be discussed in the lounge.

Or the "PPC PowerBook & iBook" forum: viewforum.php?f=21
The site should pretty much just be called "Macintosh Liberation Army", and PPCMLA should close and fold into this site.
| Posted by: Cory5412 on 2009-03-18 22:06:20 I'm going to pretend that I did notice that before you posted. [😛] ]'>
The PPCMLA was created before there was any official allowance for PPC activity on the 68kMLA boards. I think we *might* have just barely opened up the X100 powermac forum, but the timing is fuzzy.
