Macintosh SE/30 logicboard recreation (thread revival)

And the reset/interrupt switches, one of the common mode chokes, bourne filters and RTC?
True 🙂

For anyone still interested in buying a PCB, JLCPCB is out of stock on some of the bottom board SMD parts so that's the hold up at this point. I'll likely get purple or blue boards. I'm planning on 10-15 as I have at least 5 SE/30's myself that could use new boards.

But you can’t use pick and place if you go for a non-green board anyway…

You can, you just have to use Standard assembly which costs more.

I'm still in for one of them (two if you need help getting enough to order), so keep me on your list! ... and any color is fine.

Same here. One board; two if it helps getting the order through (or getting into a different volume discount region).

I'll be interested but I'm in the EU. Any europeans for a small batch?

I have 1-2 spares

Did anyone found a (alternative) solution for (recreating) the metal mounting bracket on the PCB yet?2FFA9699-1E24-418F-BC67-909702BB4693.jpeg

It should also work without it.. Do you have trouble removing it from the donor board?
Posted by: daanvdl on 2022-12-26 04:46:18
I actually did create a few new SE/30 Bolle boards with all new parts as spare boards
(Yes, it was a pain to find all the parts new/NOS..)
The last part to complete these boards “visually” is this bracket🙂

That's cool! Where did you get the GLUEs from?

I managed to find a strip of 10pc in a warehouse in China😅

Are there any still available there?

@robin-fo , @Big Ben & others
I am in France and would be in for one if you make an order or if there is a spare available.
No stress for me. I can wait 🙂
Then if you have source for components … it would be great 😅

I should receive a board from Robin soon. I didn't start working on getting components yet. I need to check what is salvageable from my board before.

I only have a single spare board left which I intended to build myself once I finished my Classic Reloaded board. If it should turn out that I won‘t have time to build it in the next months, I might sell it including all relating components (almost everything except the ASICs).
I can also help with my mouser parts list if somebody is interested…

Grüezi, I would be interested in your mouser parts list, I´ll order some boards too and need some parts. Thank you

One of those 10 should be donated to science for the purpose of revere engineering a modern replacement!

I already sent one out to get it imaged when the logicboard project first started:

So technically it’s just about tracing out the connections and map out the gate layout accordingly.
