The PowerBook situation is this: CircuitTalk works in the Pismo and the Ti G4s. The issue preventing me from selling kits is one of geometry. The IDC connector on CT doesn't even come close to fitting in either the Pismo or the Ti so I'll have to use some sort of FPC and likely splinter off a separate version just for the PowerBooks. Well, I was just about to ask if anyone had replaced the useless modem card in a Pismo, and here you are doing it.
Case mod is not ideal, for sure, but the way I was going to go about it is to ditch the totally-useless-in-2025 S-Video port and mount the Mini-DIN upside down in its place.
Does the board sans IDC header fit into the space formerly occupied by the modem card? |
