| Toon's good finds ... and the lost ones |
Posted by: zefrenchtoon on 2022-07-29 03:51:52 Hello everyone !
Here is a thread where I will share you my finds and eventually the lost ones.
First, I want to share you my biggest find ... I lost ... π
When I've found the deal, the guy was located quite close to me (about 1h30 by car from my home) so I asked him if I could come to check the items.
He was ok but I had been overloaded by my job and when I finally called him to see its stuff ... It was to late. :'(
So, here is the only pictures I have of its stuff: |
Posted by: zefrenchtoon on 2022-07-29 03:54:57 Then, recently, some of my friends offered me a gift ^^
A very nice recapped and repaired LC 475 with full 68040/33 + Ethernet PDS card ! π |

Posted by: cheesestraws on 2022-07-29 06:12:31 That's a cool set of books. Planning to do some UI stuff? |

That's a cool set of books. Planning to do some UI stuff? In fact, the seller has all Inside Macintosh books (version 1 and 2), I would love to take them for collection and curiosity but I don't have the room and money for that.
About these books specificaly, it's because I am a developer who dreamed to make software on Mac when I was young. Now that I have skills (to understand) and money (to get them) ... I got them and I will read them mainly for fun. Maybe I will try to develop something but I will have to find time for that (I have 2 young children).
Finally, about UX/UI guidelines book, even if the book is 29 years old, the concepts are still very good so it will be interesting for my actual job. |

Posted by: zefrenchtoon on 2022-09-22 10:00:20 Hello!
Just got a game β¦ π |
Posted by: olePigeon on 2022-09-22 10:12:34 Nice score. Was a great little game for its time. I think it was LittleWing's first. It's apart of what I called a trilogy (based on its Aurthurian theme) that included Crystal Caliburn and Golden Logres; although Golden Logres never had a bigbox retail release and was digital only.
Loony Labyrinth is my favorite of their bigbox pinballs. It's like a little adventure game wrapped into a pinball. They did better with the physics, which could get annoying with Crystal Caliburn. If it weren't for the physics quirks of Crystal Caliburn, that one would have been my favorite. |

Golden Lagres
That's an odd name. Is 'Lagres' a corruption of 'Logres'? |
Posted by: olePigeon on 2022-09-22 10:23:37 @cheesestraws No, it's my stupid brain mixing up Lager and Logres. π |

Oh, that makes sense. It's a very natural word to follow 'Golden', after all.
Fun fact: in Modern Welsh, Lloegr (which is the same name) is the name of England as a whole, though it used to be just part of what is now the south of England.
Sorry, @zefrenchtoon, I'll stop derailing your thread now. |

Sorry, @zefrenchtoon, I'll stop derailing your thread now. Whoops. |

Posted by: zefrenchtoon on 2023-09-19 11:48:33 Dear fellows β¦
Itβs been a long time I did not confessβ¦
More or less recently, Iβve found (and buy of course) some bits.
Lastly, Iβve found an AsanteTalk for something like 15β¬ β¦ I could not resist.
Few month ago, I shared you an auction on yahoo Japan for 3 sets of floppy containing MacTest Pro for PowerMacintosh. Finally, I did not resist to get them with a Radius Accelerator 16 for my SE and a Radius Video Card which plugs in the MagicBus slot onto this accelerator.
When I finally got all of them at home, few days later a local auction appear for a binder of β¦ MacTest / MacTest Pro floppies for Macintosh and PowerBook for about 10β¬. I could not resist too.
Then, some days later, another local auction appear for another video card for Macintosh SE β¦ for something like 20β¬ I think.
If I make a summary, I have 1 Macintosh SE and 1 accelerator, 3 video cards, 1 analog input card. π€ͺ
Around that, Iβve found also some software on floppies. Maybe some of them are not on the Garden and I still have no functional floppy disk drive to image them. π |
Posted by: Unknown_K on 2023-09-19 12:01:08 The A/UX binders in your first post looked interesting, wonder what they sold for. |

The A/UX binders in your first post looked interesting, wonder what they sold for. I agree β¦ but I could not have any information. π’ |

So ... Finally I got an apple IIe card !! π₯³π₯³π€©
As some of you saw, I've foudn on FB a guy who is trying to sell a lot of Mac stuff in France.
I contacted him to know what he has to sell and after analysing its pictures he sent me, I ask him to sell me a (specific) LC.
He seems to be unaware of what he has cause he accept my offer of 100β¬ shipping included for the complete LC with the Apple IIe card (I told him first that only the card was of interest for me but he seemed to be unaware of how to remove it so I offer him to buy the entire computer)
And he accepted the offer !!
So now, I am the proud owner of an Apple IIe card (and an Elsie to recap) π
