| Lobos board (Strange Apple ROM) |

I recently picked this 1 MB ROM peculiarity up - 4x 2 Mb flash ROMs... anyone know either what this is (other than a 1992 ROM SIMM 🙂, or an official rominator... ) or an easy/inexpensive way to dump this to find out whats on it? I've not seen a "Lobos Board" before.
The only period Mac I have is an SE/30 board without PSU, disks or display. |

Does it chime on your SE/30 board ? I don't have a suitable PSU for the board at the moment - could try it if that would be something to try - I have a VGA display adapter so can connect a display up. |

So one of the way would be to remove all chips and dump them with an EEPROM reader. The easiest way would be to find a compatible RAM and dump from there. |

I don't have a suitable PSU for the board at the moment - could try it if that would be something to try - I have a VGA display adapter so can connect a display up.
Do I remember that you're in the UK? If so, I have a spare CRT you can have if we can work out how to get it to you safely, don't think I have a working spare PSU though. Do you have an AB?
edit: hmmmmm, I'm not sure if I've got a spare yoke or not. Will have to check... |

I’ve only got the board unfortunately. I have a case I would be happy to let go of, but it's in fairly rough condition and I don't have the metal chassis that goes in it so it's probably not of much use
If your feeling creative a RGB2HDIM can be used t convert the video signal of the mac into something that can be used on a modern screen

Well if you are in the UK I have access to both macs it may work in and a EPROM programmer I was about to say I’d take you up on that, but have just realised my Interactive TV Box has a 64 pin ROM slot! I’ll have a look at that first. |

I looked through all of the code names and could not find a Lobos. Which means Timberwolf. Nothing for that either. I do remember something being called Lobos, but what I can’t think of. |

I wonder if it could be a prototype ROM board name, and being such, it was too insignificant to record it? So instead of a whole computer being named Lobos, it was just this ROM simm? |
