The only older apple monitor was I believe some sort of late 80s 21" apple monitor. It was gigantic. It was facing a wall. Im not usually interested in CRTs so I didnt bother checking it out. Is... was that something I should have checked out? Or is that just another old common crt? There were multiple generic CRTs too. Might be able to go back in a month or two. Dont think he seemed like the rest would be sold anytime soon. Just updated my signature. LOL. So many now. Think Ill go slow and refurbish one at a time. Two of the SEs look like they were destined to be for parts, but logic boards are common and cheap (They were missing), so might try and salvage them. One SE/30 in the mix. Maybe to continue my luck it will have a micron xceed. Got a stack of scsi cd roms and hard drives too 🙂 Snagged two power supplies as well. Ones for a Mac II... The other looks like its for a pizza box mac or something. Huge amount of SCSI cables followed me home too, and finally got an elusive powerbook scsi adapter. Some cables still unopened. Got a new in box joystick too. Grabbed all the keyboards I could find... If anyone needs one, you know who to ask. Bunch of extendeds and old style keyboards. Got an original 128/512k keyboard too. And a IIGS system saver. And a parts imagebanger II. Ill try and post the rest tomorrow. Lots. Of. Stuff. Excited about the OneScanner. Never see those for sale. Cant wait to have an 80s office setup with my onescanner, laserwriter, SE/30, stack of hard drives and cd roms, etc. Lol. If anyone has the following, let me know... SE logic boards SE case screws Mac II drive plate screws (And maybe more II parts...?) 128/512/Plus keyboard keys and one switch (One missing key and two broken switches) edit again: Also grabbed some sort of ethernet adapter out of a box. It looked like it was a serial plug with a beige box and two either phone jacks or ethernet ports...? Is that anything that will make getting these online easier? | |
| Posted by: Jinnai on 2019-01-26 17:17:10 Well, I'm a little biased - I love CRTs in general. I think one with built-in speakers would be absolutely worth getting. Also, as I've said before, if you see a 9" SVGA CRT please consider getting it on my behalf. I have a ~1996 Performa that needs a monitor, and I'd prefer an Apple monitor, any model that's 16" or smaller should be fine. Sound like a nice haul. If the SE/30 has an xceed I'll die :lol: have you seen the internal hard drive bracket for the Mac Plus yet? By hard drives, do you mean external SCSI boxes, or internal? | |
| Posted by: Johnnya101 on 2019-01-26 17:40:11 SCSI external boxes!!! 🙂 Two. Havent looked at them closely yet. Looked aftermarket though. Have a real neat Lacie SCSI CD ROM too. Its huge. A cube. Maybe it has a built in hard drive too. No Plus hard drive brackets yet. I do have one other plus I havent looked at though... Maybe Ill get lucky. Its a little far for getting one monitor. If I go back, Ill let you know. Annnndddd of course there was a 9" CRT (Or smaller even). Cute little white portable one with a keyboard. Some sort of portable terminal? DIdnt see if it was vga though. Think this means trip #2 needs to happen. I can pick up the power computing thing, pizza boxes, maybe a couple crts. | |

It would go nicely with the one you just bought from me. Edit2: And a few of those machines look like they've never seen sunlight. This is quite a neat addition to your collection. | |
| Posted by: Johnnya101 on 2019-01-26 18:45:46 Sadly, the 160 is a parts machine. Has a sticky note that mentions missing battery and floppy drive, bad screen, etc. Can swap out the broken trackpad at the very least. | |

Has box and documents plus Mac is 8 CD!) 1x parts 160 (no port door 🙁 ) 2x iisi IIx (if anyone has the screws for the floppy/hard drive chassis, let me know) Quadra 700 (CPU upgrade card, max vram, max ram, and feet!) 2x Plus (one nice working one, other is dirty but looks like it will work) 2x SE/30. (One is missing PSU and logic board, one had the bomb go off. Looks easily salvaged though! ) 4x SE (3 iffy. Two iffy looking logic boards, one missing logic board. One good one) DOS box. Has the cool LCD thingy on the front, 3.5 drive, and 5 inch drive. Has a disk labeled DOS 6.2 or something like that inside) 2x "Personal" laserwriters (one is the early style, one later) Apple Scanner Parts Imagebanger II Lacie external CD ROM SCSI Generic beige 80s external SCSI hard drive enclosure 2x generic CD SCSI ROMS System Saver IIgs Apple external 800k drive Joystick in box 5 or so ADB keyboards (ones a neat cutting edge brand one) Couple of ADB cables Couple of ADB mice 5x Pre ADB keyboards. (One is the early version with no num pad) 3x Pre ADB mice Pile of SCSI cables Apple serial to phone jack adapter Powerbook to scsi adapter Macintosh Ii psu Other apple PSu? Are new ones sold at least?I know you can get aftermarket 1400 power adapters on eBay from China that are supposedly compatible, but personally I don't really trust those. Don't limit yourself to just looking for a 1400 adapter though, the PowerBook G3's used a compatible adapter (some of the iBook "yo-yo" ones were compatible but some aren't). | |
