| [Very Important] System 7.5.3 in floppies |
Posted by: morundos on 2009-03-30 09:23:31 I've found System 7.5.3 for PowerBook 1400 Series, PowerMac 4400 and PowerMac 5400 floppies. But I always need System 7.5 Version 7.5.3 in floppies version in disk images like this:
SYSTEM 7.5 VERSION 7.5.3 IN DISK IMAGES (INSTALL)
Install Disk 1.img
Install Disk 10.img
Install Disk 11.img
Install Disk 12.img
Install Disk 13.img
Install Disk 14.img
Install Disk 15.img
Install Disk 16.img
Install Disk 2.img
Install Disk 3.img
Install Disk 4.img
Install Disk 5.img
Install Disk 6.img
Install Disk 7.img
Install Disk 8.img
Install Disk 9.img
It's found in my damaged CD Apple System Software Recovery CD 1. Can you find System 7.5 Version 7.5.3 in floppies version that used disk images so I can add them to my collection?
P.S: In Apple, I hate multi-part and full install, I need floppies edition will make much better to install my 7.6 for PowerBook 3400 or 7.5.3 for Power Macintosh 9500 (both as seen in my Apple System Recovery 1 CD).
Edit: Like my say, in my damaged CD-ROM of Apple System Recovery CD 1. Copying Install Disk 1.img, Install Disk 10.img,
Install Disk 11.img, Install Disk 12.img, Install Disk 13.img, Install Disk 14.img, Install Disk 15.img and Install Disk 16.img it will copy properly. In install Disk 2 to 9, I cannot copy them because the disk error. Will need to find System 7.5 Version 7.5.3 in disk images (16 floppies images) for FREE???
More Edit: In 2007, I have a full cd of System 7.5 Version 7.5.3, but now, it's missing. I want the disk images version of System 7.5 Version 7.5.3. 16 disk images.
Illustration:
1. This is the main System 7.5 Version 7.5.3 directory, found in my Apple System Recovery CD 1. The selected one is working to copy.

2. The selected items are copied to "My Stuff" hard drive.

3. The rest of Install Disk 2 to Install Disk 9 failed. Where is another free System 7.5 Version 7.5.3 in disk images as seen in System Software Recovery CD???

4. This is the About System Software 7.5.3 readme came from my damaged System Software Recovery CD. Did you see the underlined word? It's indicates the free System 7.5 Version 7.5.3 inside the CD has a floppy version, but in Apple, has only multipart.

Posted by: Dog Cow on 2009-03-30 10:34:44 7.5.3 in floppies is available from Apple HTTP.
(Used to be on FTP too, but that's gone now)

Posted by: Unknown_K on 2009-03-30 12:17:17 I don't think Apple has 7.5.3 floppy images, I think those are just an installer split into parts for easy download that can fit on a floppy. You need to dump them all onto the HD , unarchive, and install from there.

Posted by: morundos on 2009-03-30 16:51:24 Lucky. The disk images (not multipart self-extracting part in Apple) I want. Where is the download link of System 7.5 Version 7.5.3? In 2007, my System 7.5 Version 7.5.3 cd is missing and in Apple, it updated the Floppy to Multi-part version. I want the installation disk images (floppy install, 16 install disk images) for System 7.5 Version 7.5.3? My Recovery CD is corrupted Disk 2 to Disk 9.

7.5.3 in floppies is available from Apple HTTP.
(Used to be on FTP too, but that's gone now) Your reply seems to be not work. This is multipart self-extracting image, not floppy images file. Above has a information, so the directory System 7.5 Version 7.5.3 inside my Apple System Software Recovery CD.
Note: What is the Apple System Software Recovery CD?
Important: Where is the floppy images file as seen in Apple System Software Recovery CD of System 7.5 Version 7.5.3?

Posted by: macgeek417 on 2009-03-30 20:15:55 If you find any/get yours to work, please put em on the net!
If you clean the disk correctly, you just might be able to get it to work:
1. Get the disk wet, and dry most of the water off.
2. With a washcloth or similar - a laptop screen cleaning rag woulld probebly work the best - clean it in small, circular motions like this:

Your reply seems to be not work. I've tested, but not losing the damaged cd errors. In Apple System Software Recovery CD 1 March 2000 has Sys 7.5, Version 7.5.3, System 7.5.3 for PowerBook 1400, System 7.5.3 for PowerMac 5400, System 7.5.3 for PowerMac 4400 and System 7.5.3 for PowerMac 9500.

Posted by: morundos on 2009-03-31 05:34:46 Where is Apple System Software Recovery CD 1 and 2? 1 has a PowerMac only System Software and 2 has only G3-based OS 8.x series. Will the Apple Legacy Software Recovery CD will work for me?
Edit: Still needed to download in my BitComet or D.A.P (FlashGet worst).
Apple Legacy: Has a System Software 1.0 - Mac OS 8.1, Newton software, Apple II Software, Lisa Software and more are included. While in Apple System Recovery 1 has only System 7.1.2, System Software 7.5.3 through Mac OS 8.6, and a PowerPC-branded items. In Apple System Recovery 2 has only G3-branded software, Mac OS 8.x versions and also a good use of SheepShaver. Apple System Recovery 3 has only Mac OS 9, most PPC-branded software and items. Apple Applications CD has a Apple-Branded software that not included in Software updates, such as At Ease, Workgroup Server and more.

Note: What is the Apple System Software Recovery CD? It's at apple.com, in an FTP archive, IIRC. You need to get an Apple ID, but it's all there.
I would NOT trust any of the legacy CD's found at these other sites. At least one of them was corrupt with bad files, and who knows about the rest?
7.5.3 in floppies is available from Apple HTTP.
(Used to be on FTP too, but that's gone now) Your reply seems to be not work. This is multipart self-extracting image, not floppy images file. What don't you understand? Why do you suppose there are many parts???!!!! It's because they are meant to be placed on individual floppy disks! Try it!

Posted by: morundos on 2009-03-31 19:46:35 Thanks for System 7.5 Version 7.5.3 floppies. But some are remaining problems to solve in same topic.
Where is the System 7.5.3 installation for Performa 6400, System 7.5.2 installation for Power Macintosh 7200 and System 7.5.2 installation for Power Macintosh 7500?
Edit: System 7.5 Version 7.5.3 Install Disk 8 (Apple Legacy CD that I downloaded seems to be corrupted), System 7.5.1 installation disks for Power Macintosh 5200 and System 7.5 installation disks for Power Macintosh 6100.

Posted by: macgeek417 on 2009-03-31 21:36:38 On the same disk!
Can you convert the 7.5.3 ones to rw disk images for me?
